- Senior Instructor - Level 1, 2 and 3 Tai Chi
- Instructor - Qigong Fundamentals
I've been studying Tai Chi Chuan for nearly 16 years now.
Over the past 10 years, within the academy, I have been taught the art of Tai Chi to a very high standard by two of the best Masters that I have encountered. They have transformed my martial art skills into a much more adept practitioner. The skills that you will learn in Tai Chi will help you to deal with life events as they emerge. Some of the most important skills that my 2 Masters have taught me are in the areas of body mechanics, use of the waist, timing and concentration. These skills are vitally important to gaining true health benefits from Tai Chi. I find the four areas afore mentioned to be those areas that practitioners seem to be most deficient in. It is a long road to learning these skills to a satisfactory level, and once attained one must advance even further through diligent training to attain even higher goals. One can only attain these skills by having the right masters that will help to develop your prowess and correct personal practice. As I learnt these skills I started to understand more and more the true power of Tai Chi, its gracefulness and the power that one can generate through dynamic relaxation.
Now on the cusp of my 16th year of practicing and living Tai Chi, I am looking forward to assisting Master Francis and Cecilia in the teaching role. Together with the Qigong I am learning, I hope to help foster within the the student the right techniques, skills and mindfulness, that I have learnt from my current masters within the Gold Dragon Tai Chi Academy.
